Pre-Purchase Inspection

Pre-purchase Inspection = Making A Safe, Financially Responsible Decision

If you are considering buying a pre-owned car we strongly recommend that you come in for a pre-purchase inspection. The vehicle may look amazing to you. It may be just the make, model and year you were looking for topped with the paint color of your dreams. That is great, but in the long run what’s under the hood is more important than looks.

One of the drawbacks of purchasing a used car is not knowing it’s full history. Did the owner take good care of the vehicle? Did it undergo regular maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer? What kind of driving did the owner do? These are some of the questions you might be asking yourself.

Keep in mind that if you are buying a vehicle without a warranty, you are assuming all the risk. This includes any necessary major repairs. When you come in for a pre-purchase inspection we will give you a comprehensive review of your prospective vehicle. We will look to make sure that all critical driving systems are working properly. We will check how much life is left on belts, hoses, engine mounts, and other key components. You can easily see how getting your vehicle looked at before you buy can potentially save you thousands of dollars.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you can use an inspection as a negotiation tool. If there are some minor issues (not deal breaking ones) you can use the information we gathered to lower the purchase price. And if there are issues that are too expensive, or make the vehicle unsafe, you are better off not buying it and looking for something safer for you and your family.

If you are shopping for a used car, consider coming to our shop for a pre-purchase inspection. We will be happy to assist you in making a safe, financially responsible choice on your next used vehicle!
